Edison Cavani is set to be offered an improved contract by Napoli in the coming weeks.
Cavani came at Napoli from Palermo on a one-year loan with option to buy at the end of the season at €16 millions.
The club and the player had an agreement on a contract that would last until 2015 but the striker will receive a better offer following his performances. Cavani will receive €2 millions per year and the contract will end in 2016 one year latter than the previous agreement.
The Argentinean International scored 26 goals in Serie A this season being surpassed only by Di Natale who scored 28 goals.
Cavani attracted the interest of most major clubs and a move away from Napoli this summer isn’t excluded.
