Will Real Madrid sign Suarez?

0

Luiz Suarez is one of the best strikers in the World at the moment and he might leave Liverpool this summer even if he just signed a contract extension.

Suarez came at Liverpool from Ajax in 2011 in order to play at a higher level. Liverpool failed to qualify for Champions League since 2009-2010 season and the Uruguayan striker was determined to leave Anfield. Arsenal were close to sign him but the transfer was not done in the end.

Suarez remained at Liverpool for at least one more season and it looks like it was an excellent decision for him and for the club. Liverpool will surely play in Champions League next season and more than that they are very close to win the title.

The 30 Premier League goals scored this season could not go unnoticed by top clubs. Real Madrid are prepared to make an offer of €85 millions to lure him from Anfield. On Latestfreebet.com you can see which are the odds to leave for a different club.

Now it’s all about the player to decide which will be the next step in his career.

Chivu retires from football

Cristian Chivu has decided to hang up his boots after a successfully career. The Romanian international who started his career at Resita has not played a game since 2013.

The versatile defender suffered a few finger surgeries in the last two years but the recovery was not as expected.

Chivu came at Inter in 2007 from AS Roma. Under Jose Mourinho he played the best football of his career and won the treble in 2010. The 33 years old defender career could have been longer but the injuries have stopped him from playing anymore.

The former Ajax captain declared that he is proud of what he achieved during his career and wanted to thank all the coaches and all of his former colleagues for the support.

How much time does David Moyes have left at Manchester United?

0

Manchester United suffered their 10th Premier League defeat of the season Tuesday as they were humiliated 3-0 by their noisy neighbours Manchester City at Old Trafford.

In the 21 previous seasons since the establishment of the rebranded Premier League (then the Premiership), Manchester United have never previously lost as many games.  There are still 7 games left to play for the Red Devils to add to that number.

Manchester United are set to finish outside the top 3 for the first time in the history of the Premier League and David Moyes’ side may not even make the Europa League, now 5 points behind Tottenham Hotspur who sit in the final position for European football.

This would end Manchester United’s record run of 18 consecutive seasons in the UEFA Champions League – assuming they don’t pull off a miracle and win this season’s competition of course!

Following their defeat on Tuesday night which gives them an aggregate score of 1-7 versus Manchester City this season, supporters took to Twitter with cries of #MoyesOut – the majority now appear to be against the former Everton manager.

Controversial bookmaker Paddy Power created a comedy Manchester United Helpline video to add further insult to injury for the Red Devils:

(Perhaps Manchester United fans may want to give up on football altogether for the rest of the season and try their luck at Paddy Power’s online gaming – they’ve probably more chance of winning!)

How much more time will the Manchester United board give David Moyes?  And if they’re thinking of replacing him, who is next in line for the top job at Old Trafford?

Zenit appointed Villas-Boas as coach

Zenit St Petersburg have confirmed the appointment of Portuguese coach Andre Villas-Boas. The 36 years old manager who worked with Jose Mourinho at Porto will sign a two years contract with the Russian team.

AVB was without an engagement after his spell with Tottenham in Premier League. AVB had a wonderful debut as he managed to win Portuguese League, Europa League and Portuguese Cup with Porto in one season but failed to live up the expectations with Chelsea and Tottenham.

After the success with Porto he was already named the “New Mourinho” by football specialists.

Villas-Boas will replace Luciano Spalletti who was sacked by Zenit board. Spalletti came at Zenit five years ago.

Nacho Aiming To Make Argentine Squad in Time For The Crunch

Sunderland new boy Nacho Scocco has yet to start a Premier League game since signing for the club the day before the January transfer deadline, but the 28-year- old already has his eyes firmly set on winning a place in the Argentina World Cup squad.

The forward signed for the Black Cats from Internacional for £4 million following a difficult time in Brazil and is hoping to regain his form in the North East ahead of his return to South America in June.

In Scocco’s first game for Sunderland he helped them navigate their way past Southampton in the FA Cup, getting his first taste of action for two months and now he’s looking to kick on from there.

He told the Sunderland Echo, “I will work hard to get back to how I played in Argentina and reach the same level from Newell’s.

“I know I have a lot of work to get that. I will try to work every week and every game to try to get there. The World Cup is on the mind of every player.”

It’s perhaps his time at Newell’s Old Boys that attracted Gus Poyet to the striker. He scored 24 goals in just 33 games for his first professional side, helping them finish second in the Primera Division. But it will take a lot more than that to nudge out the likes of Sergio Aguero and Gonzalo Higuain from the national team.

The Argentinians currently possess one of their strongest sides for some time and should comfortably top Group F in the tournament setting up a likely tie with Switzerland or Ecuador in the Second Round. The bookmakers seem to agree, pricing them at second favourites, Messi and co can be back at 5/1 with a World Cup free bet .

Scocoo has only put on the blue and white of his nation once back in 2012 in a 2-1 victory over Brazil in which he scored both goals, but has failed to make a mark since.

If he is to resurrect his international career, it’ll be good news for Sunderland as he’ll have to score plenty to do so. And it couldn’t come at a better time. It’s been a bleak season for Poyet’s men bar an inspired run in the Carling Cup, and they’ll be hoping goals from Nacho can help them climb out of the relegation zone and retain a place in the Premier League.
