Chelsea sign Mineiro

Chelsea’s coach Luis Felipe Scolary has strengthened his team with the latest signing of Brazilian player Miniero.Beeing short of defensive midfield players , Scolary decided that Mineiro is that man that his team needs.After former midfield Claude Makelele left the club at the end of last season, and Michael Essien had a serious knee injury, the Chelsea manager found him self in the position of lacking defensive midfielders.

Carlos Luciano da Silva, nicknamed Mineirois 33 years old and was signed as a free agent ,his last team being Hertha Berlin and he has earned currently 24 caps for the Brazilian national team.

Luis Felipe Scolary is very optimistic about the signing of the 33 years old midfield and is confident that Mineiro will prove to be a good replacement in midfield, in fact he commented that Mineiro resembles Makelele in many ways particularly in the playing style.

The results will tell if bringing a 33 years old player on a free transfer to a team like Chelsea is a smart move.

Benzema has attracted interests from a host of top European Clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, Milan, Real Madrid or Barcelona.
The 20 years old French international was the top goalscorer in France last season and also won the Player of the Year award. Benzema already scored five Ligue 1 goals this season and  one important goal in the 2-2 draw against Fiorentina in Champions League.
Lyon can not afford to lose their starlet and they put a 100 m price tag on France international.
According to club president Jean-Michel Aulas, Benzema has signed a new contract that lasts until 2013.
Even with this huge price tag there might be interested clubs. Manchester City could be one of them, a club that is preparing for a massive transfer activity in January.

Zanetti to achieve 600 mark with Inter

Javier Zanetti was signed by Inter from Banfied in 1995. Zanetti is the third most capped Inter player behind Giacinto Facchetti and Giuseppe Bergomi.

will make his 600 apearence for Inter on Wednesday in the Serie A clash against Lecce.
Zanetti will wear an anniversary armband created specially for this event.
The Argentinian international declared that he is very proud of what he archived until now with Inter but he still has a long career ahead.
Zanetti also declared that he would not accept to play for other European club then Inter.
The 35 year old is one of the most consistent players of the last decade.
Zanetti is the perfect example both professionally and as a footballer and  I’m sure that every club would be proud to such a legend.

Trezeguet out for five months

Trezeguet has been hampered for some weeks by swollen tendons. The Frenchman opted for surgery to avoid career-threatening risk.

Trezeguet mentioned about Ronaldo who snapped the tendon in his left knee in February and he still hasn’t recover.
Trezeguet is confident that he made the right choice and this will extend his career with 4 or 5 years.
After today’s surgery Trezeguet will have to rest for 15 days before starting the special rehabilitation.
Latest reports suggest that the player will be out for five months. The loss of Trezeguet is a blow for Juventus.
Trezeguet scored 115 goals in 188 Serie A games and 26 in Champions League for Juventus.
This could be a good chance for Giovinco to establish into the starting XI.
