Rossi regains the MotoGP title

Rossi regained the MotoGP championship title after winning the Grand Prix of Japan on Sunday.
Stoner and Pedrosa came second and third respectively.
This is his eighth title, sixth of them in the premier class.
It is the eighth victory of the season for the Italian.
“Il dotore” needed only a podium finish to assure the title, his first since 2005.
With three more races to go Rossi leads the standings with 312 points, 92 more than defending champion Casey Stoner.
Rossi holds the record for most premier-class victories 70 at number. He is also second in premier-class titles, two behind Giacomo Agostini.
The Italian declared that he is not going to stop here but recogns that will be more difficult next year.
