Ronaldo wins Ballon d’Or

Cristiano Ronaldo has won Ballon d’Or, the most prestigious football player award.

The 23 year old Portuguese international had a remarkable season last year, scoring 42 goals in 49 games for Manchester United and winning Premier League and Champions League. The trophy is awarded every year by France Football, the French magazine.

Ronaldo was followed up in the standings by Lionel Messi and Fernando Torres.

The Manchester United star is the third Portuguese that wins the award after Eusebio and Luis Figo.

It is no surprise that Ronaldo has been awarded as the best player of the year after his performances with his club. He is an amazing talent and he clearly deserves it.
