PSG signed Marquinhos from Roma

PSG have announced the signing of the Brazilian defender Marquinhos from Roma. The transfer sum is a record for Roma as they will receive €35 millions for the 19 year old defender.

Marquinhos joined Roma last year but his performances from last season attracted the interest from the biggest clubs. Barcelona were also interested in signing the Marquinhos but they failed to meet Roma’s demands for the player.

The transfer sum is put in doubt by many football specialists but the 19 years old defender insists that he will demonstrate that he is worth every penny and he can’t wait to repay the club with his performances.

Probably Marquinhos will partner Thiago Silva in the center of defence. Thiago Silva is wanted by Barcelona but it’s hard to believe that PSG will let their star man to leave.

Roma have already spent some of the money wisely by bringing Maicon,  Strootman and Benatia.
