Monaco sign Traore from Anzhi

Monaco have announced the signing of Lacina Traore from Anzhi Makhachkala. The transfer sum was not made public but the player has signed a contract that will end in the summer of 2018.
The Ivorian striker was signed by Anzhi for a reported €18 million in 2012. The 23 years old forward was one of the few stars that remained with the club after owner Kerimov decided to reduce the budget and change the strategy of the club.
It is believed that Traore will not play for Monaco until next season as the French giants are looking to loan him until the end of the season. West Ham are in top position for a loan move but there are other options too.
Monaco are set to strengthen the squad for next season when they will most probably play in Champions League as they are second in Ligue One, three points behind rivals from PSG. Currently a top priced 15/2 with BetVictor to win Ligue One this season, they remain with an outside chance of taking top honours if they can string together a few decent results on the bounce.
