Monaco sign Falcao

AS Monaco have confirmed the signing of Radamel Falcao. The 27 years old forward will reunite with his former Porto colleagues Moutinho and Rodriguez. This is the fourth big signing for Monaco as the French club have also signed Carvalho who’s contract with Real Madrid has expired.

The transfer sum is not known but probably Monaco have paid the release clause for the Colombian star, which is believed to be around €60 millions. Falcao was brought at Atletico Madrid from Porto for €45 millions in 2011 to replace Aguero who left for Manchester City. The Colombian has signed a five years contract with the French side.

Probably Monaco will became a force in Europe but they will have to wait for at least one year to play in European competitions. Their goal for next season is to finish top 3 which would guarantee a place in Champions League for the next season.

Falcao scored 31 goals for Atletico this year and helped the club reach Champiosn League place and won Copa del Rey against their rivals from Real Madrid.
