There were reports in French and Spanish press that Vieira used Actovegin this summer in order to speed up the recovery in view of Europeans.
The French midfielder was furious about the romours and declared: “I’m angry, this is a very serious allegation. This is how I have I managed 15 years of my career. I asked different opinions on how to treat my injury and recover more quickly, but always thinking about my health. The Doctor at Bayern suggested this solution, but in the end I did not take anything. I have not done anything illegal or prohibited, I am a clean player and I can look in the mirror without problems.”
Vieira won’t let this attacks damage his reputation and he is determined to continue the proceedings in justice.
Actovegin is used by diabet patients or who suffered a stroke. Actovegin is not comercialized in France despite being succesfully used in Italy, Germany or England.
Vieira is set to lead France in Saturday’s key match against Romania from World Cup Qualifications.

Vieira is well passed his best and the move to Italy was a bad choice in my opinion. He should never have left Arsenal and has only got himself into trouble time and time again since doing so.
