Inter suffers in defence

Inter conceded five goals in the last two matches.

The games against Regina in Seria A and Anorthosis in Champions League proved to be not so easy as everyone expected. Inter scored the winning goal in the injury time against Regina while against Anorthosis they manage to equalize 10 minutes before time.

The goals were conceded after terrible defensive mistakes and could been even worse if Cesar would not have had those interventions. However Mourinho did not have too many options at the back as Rivas and Chivu are both injured, Samuel was not on Uefa list while Cordoba was not fit.

Mourinho doesn’t seems to be woried about the sittuation: “It’s a positive point for us and it leaves us in a good very good situation in terms of qualification. However, I believe that if you want to do well in the Champions League then you have to be strong in February not now.

It was a game where we scored seven goals. Three for ourselves and three for them too and Cambiasso also scored for us but it was disallowed.”

Also Zanetti said: “The important thing is to stay calm and believe in what you are doing. It doesn’t matter if we conceded three goals to a Cypriot team, all matches that are played at this level are difficult.”

Inter has two draws in the last three matches and there are heavy games coming. If Inter wins the next game against Panathinaikos they are qualified for the last 16 and then all they have to do is focuss on Serie A games.
