Alberto Gilardino is about to leave Fiorentina after four years at Artemio Franchi.
The 29 years old forward was one of the key players for Fiorentina in the last couple of years along with Mutu and Frey.
Unfortunately after Prandelli left the club and took over the national squad everything went wrong for Viola.
Genoa and Fiorentina apparently reach an agreement and only the player will have to undergo the medical with his new club. The transfer sum will be around €8 millions and the Italian international will sign a four year contract.
Gilardino started his career at Piacenza. He played for Verona, Parma and Milan before moving to Fiorentina.
For the national team he played in 47 games and scored 17 times. Gila was part of the team that won the World Cup.
