Galatasaray sign Wesley Sneijder

After almost two weeks of negotiations, Wesley Sneijder was transferred from Inter Milan to the Turkish club Galatasaray.
The Turkish giants payed €7.5 millions for the Dutch midfielder, who won the treble with Inter in 2010. Sneijder will receive €5.5 millions a year for the next three and a half years, with only €500.000 less than he was payed by the Italian club.
Sneijder’s future at Inter was in doubt after the player refused to accept the wage cut. Unfortunately for him there were not too many clubs interested in signing him and that’s because of two factors. The first one and the most important was his salary demands. There are not too many clubs who could afford to pay his salary.
The second one is that his form has continuously decreased since 2010. That’s why in 2011 Manchester United offered €40 millions for him and now only Galatasaray were indeed interested in signing him. There are more football betting lines (click here) at Topbet.eu.
Even so Sneijder considered that this is not a back step for him. In a press conference held in Istambul, the new Galatasaray player explained the reason for choosing this team and revealed the two key figures in his football career. Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal influenced him in reaching this decision: “They both said the same thing: go!”
