Bordeaux continues the good evolution

Bordeaux is maintaining the good form that helped them winning the French championship last season.

Laurent Blanc side managed to interrupt the record for seven consecutive titles of their rivals Lyon.

Bordeaux continues to impress in League 1 but also in Champions League where teams like Juventus or Bayern failed to win. With the best defence in the league and one of the best attacks, Bordeaux are once again the favorites to the title. With nine points ahead and victories after victories, Laurent Blanc side want to show again that there are no candidates for them. The team average age is around 26 years and their star player is undoubtedly Yoann Gourcuff.

With 5 goals in 16 games the French midfielder is the ideal player for many coaches.

Lately achievements also propelled Blanc as a favorite to take over “Les Bleus”. French Football Federation president Jean-Pierre Escalettes declared that Laurent Blanc is a very suitable candidate for the national team because he proved that both as a coach but also as a player.
