Ballack retires from football

Michael Ballack announced that he retires from football. The 36 years old midfielder decided that it’s better to hang up his boots after failing to find a team that would level his expectations.

Ballack left Bayer Leverkusen at the end of this summer after his contract expired. He was in negotiations with teams from MLS and Australia but failed to reach an agreement.

The former Chelsea man has remarkable performances to his name. He has won Bundesliga and  Premier League titles but failed to win the Champions League.

The former Germany international represented his country 98 times.
